Lovingly crafted in the brand’s artisan studios in Peru from expertly softened 100% Baby Alpaca, this new edition of our bestselling alpaca travel shawl features a finer, denser jersey knit for exceptional softness and durability. The New Wraps are very different from our old Travel Shawls which are gradually being phased out. The New Travel Wraps are knitted with 100% Baby Alpaca. The old shawls were knitted in Superfine, which is not as soft, and the yarn count is now 2/28 instead of 2/16. This is a much finer yarn than 2/16 and the knit is much tighter. The result is a wrap that is: - unlikely to snag - lighter in the hand - softer and smoother - far more fluid in drape - less bulky when layered - more refined in appearance - but the overall weight of 250g has been kept, so they are equally warm!"
